The Last Cruise is a 2021 HBO documentary short edited by Deep Cut co-founder Joe Beshenkovsky. It premiered on HBO Max on March 30, 2021.
The film reconstructs the nightmare experienced by passengers and crew aboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship in early 2020, when an outbreak of COVID-19 turned the vessel into one of the world's first quarantine zones. With over 700 passengers and crew eventually testing positive, and the entire world watching via social media, the ship became a symbol of the pandemic's early chaos.
