About the Film

Megadoc is a 2025 documentary directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Mike Figgis (Leaving Las Vegas) and edited by Deep Cut co-founder Joe Beshenkovsky. The film had its world premiere at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on August 28, 2025, screening in the Venice Classics section.

The film is a fly-on-the-wall documentary about the production of Francis Ford Coppola's Megalopolis — the $120 million self-financed passion project the legendary director (The Godfather, Apocalypse Now) spent decades attempting to make. Figgis was granted complete and informal access to the Atlanta-area set from the beginning of pre-production in November 2022.
